person與people都有人的含義

《70年代秀》里Eric準備和朋友去面試漢堡店里的工作，

面試時出現了這么一段對話：

—Tell me, what do you consider your best quality?

—I'm a real people person.

——告訴我，你覺得自己最大的優點是什么？

——我善于社交。

People與Person區別

People和Person主要從詞義、詞性、單復數形式、具體用法四個方面區別。

一 、詞義不同

People：人；人類；民族；公民。

Person：人；身體；容貌，外表；人稱，該詞是man, woman或child的總稱。

二、詞性不同

people：作“民族”解時,有單、復數之分，作為人時后面不加s。

person：是可數名詞。

三、單復數形式不同

People：“人，人們”，該詞單、復數相同；“民族”時，復數加S，即peoples。說“一個人”時，不用people，當表示兩個以上的人時，可用people。

Person：本身無復數，在通常情況下，person 的復數一般都用 people 代之，是個體名詞，它泛指man，woman或child中的任何一個，其復數形式是persons，但人們習慣用 people代替persons。

四、具體用法不同

People: We must serve the people heart and soul.我們必須全心全意地為人民服務。

Person: He is a person with good manners.

他是一個有禮貌的人。

People person

“people”和“person”雖然都表示“人”，

但是“people person”不能翻譯為“人人”，

而是要翻譯為：

“有人緣的人；善于與人打交道的人；受歡迎的人”。

它的英文解釋是：

Someone who is particularly gregarious, affable, or outgoing; someone with great interpersonal communication skills.

這個表達可以用在面試中哦。

關于這個表達咱們來舉個例子：

My late grandfather was such a people person. Whenever he was in the room, everyone was all smiles.

我已故的祖父很有人緣，只要他在的地方，大家都會笑容滿面。

關于“愛社交的人；善于與人打交道的人”還可以用下面的這些表達：

可千萬不要把“交際花”翻譯成“social flower”！

A social butterfly moves among people at a gathering easily, like a butterfly flying from flower to flower.

交際花是指在聚會中能夠在人群中自在游走，就像蝴蝶在花朵間來回穿梭一樣。這樣的人很喜歡與人交流。

Tom's always been something of a social butterfly, so we've never really worried about him making friends or finding his way in the world.

湯姆很喜歡與人打交道，所以我們從不擔心他找不到朋友或者沒有立足之地。

gregarious [gr?'ge?r??s]

adj. 愛交際的，合群的

gre-源自group，表示群體的意思+arious:愛……的

愛群體的人一般是很喜歡社交的人。

（seeking and enjoying the company of others）

These people are always gregarious and outgoing.

這些人通常很愛社交、性格外向。
